most solid wood home and furniture purchased todays is almost certain shrink, warp or crack. ask your retailer if he will guarantee in writing that solid wood home he is selling will not warp, shrink or crack. Most new home & furniture in todays market is ultimately disposable, with built in planned odsolescence and designed to last for only a few short years.
Todays smart consumers are taking their heirlooms; inherited furniture; quality pieces that are of any age; and even purchasing 2nd hand items that are well made and are having them striped and refinished in a custom stain to match their decor.
The master craftsman can make any necesary repairs if required and then renovation and refinish the piece with your choice of stain and shine. the finished product is unique, beautiful and most always equal to or better that new good quality home and furniture.
